Some of the most important learning in a child’s life starts before kindergarten. In Brooklyn Center Community Schools, we recognize the importance of early learning and offer several programs from birth to five. We see ourselves as partners in your child’s lifelong journey of learning.

Early Childhood Screening

Minnesota law requires that your child must be screened for enrollment in a public school. This service is offered at no cost to our families. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to find out how your child is developing and for you to find out more about resources and programs in our community. Children may be screened between the ages of three-five. The ideal age for screening is near your child’s fourth birthday.
