Brooklyn Center Community Schools’ School Board met for a meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 5910 Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430. Below are the highlights:

 

Presentations

• Michelle Auld, Wellbeing Specialist, provided the annual Wellbeing Program Report
• Kathleen Heider, Director of Finance, provided the monthly Financial Update
• Kraus-Anderson Construction Company presented the Longterm Facility Maintenance Presentation based on their 2026 Facility Condition Assessment of Brooklyn Center Community Schools 
• Superintendent Dr. Carly Baker provided the monthly Superintendent's Report 

 

Consent Agenda

• Personnel, Non Resident Students and Donations
• IoWA Authorizer: The IoWA (Identified Official With Authority) role acts as the primary signing agent for the district and oversees appropriate MDE system access rights. In our district, we are recommending that this role be fulfilled by the Superintendent, Dr. Carly Baker. We must designate an IoWA annually through school board action.
• IRS Mileage Increase to $0.76 Mile Effective July 1, 2026
