Centaur Beginnings

Program information

Centaur Beginnings is a child care and development center servicing teen parents in the BC area and staff members. We offer services for teen parents and their children during and beyond care time. Centaur Beginnigs is located across the hall from Brooklyn Center Early College Academy. Transportation is provided to eligible students and their children.

Our Program is 4-Star rated from Parent Aware, and we utilize Playbook Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers. We also use Desired Results assessment tools to help create individual goals for each child, and family.

Eligibility

Teen parents that are enrolled and attending the Brooklyn Center Early College Academy are able to enroll their child/children at Centaur Begginings Child Development Center. Children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old are given onsite childcare.

Parents must have open and active childcare assistance from either Hennepin, or Anoka Counties. Parents are also able to use a Think Small grant to pay for childcare.
